What type of copywriter are you?

I write what’s known in the business as direct response copy. But I’m more than someone who writes sales-y sounding words and charges you a couple hundred bucks for it. I help business owners develop long term marketing strategies first. And then do I write marketing assets with long-term results in mind. I’ve done my job when you have a coherent strategy and copy assets with years’ worth of revenue potential.

Why should I hire you?

I’ve been using these techniques in my own business with great success. I’ve also applied them to other industries such as the automotive, insurance, real estate, and financial industries. Once you understand the target market, the principles are the same in any industry. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe in the effectiveness of what I do.

How does it work? What are your rates?

I start every client with 21-question marketing diagnostic. The diagnostic is free and yours to keep whether you move forward with me or not. After you’ve filled out and sent me the marketing diagnostic, we schedule a half day of prescriptive consulting at a rate of $500. After the half day of consulting, one of three things happens: One, we had a productive conversation, and you walk away happy with strategies to act on. Two, you decide to hire me for a project or projects. Or three, you feel the day was unproductive and you got nothing out of it. If this is the case, I will gladly refund your fee.

Do you do everything in-house?

I will provide you with a comprehensive strategy, positioning, potential target markets, and the copy to reach those target markets. However, if you want more sophisticated graphic design, you’ll need to hire someone after the copy is delivered. Also, if you decide to use direct mail, you’ll need to work with a list broker. I’ll help you as much as I can but I’m not in the business of hand holding.
